L & J Jewellers
Since 1972 L&J Jewellers have specialised in stunning engagement rings, wedding bands, dress rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants and many more timeless unique designer jewellery pieces. With two locations, the Castle Shopping Centre in Swords which opened in 1983 and Ashbourne Town Centre in Co. Meath, we draw upon years of experience that span four generations to guarantee quality and excellence. Founded by John Dowling in 1983 and now in partnership with his son, Stephen, they have set up a thriving business serving all of North County Dublin and Meath.
L&J Jewellers has two shops in the North County Dublin area – Castle Shopping Centre, Swords and Ashbourne Town Centre. Our decision to concentrate our business expansion to Shopping Center locations is in fact mirroring the trend in Irish Retailing toward Centre Based Retailing rather than high street, mainly due to the infrastructural inadequacies in parking and trading hours.
Below is an outline of the 4's; cut, colour, carat and clarity. Our staff will be delighted to explain each of these and to help you select your diamond in any of our stores.
Clarity measures the flawlessness of a diamond or how free from inclusions it is. Like all the 4 C's, a diamond's clarity rating has a direct effect on a diamond's beauty and price.
A diamond's colour grade is a key quality evaluation, but often misleading. This is because the ideal engagement diamond should have a lack of colour.
The weight of a diamond is measured in carats. One carat equals 0.200 grams. The carat weight alone does not determine a diamond's value.
Cut refers to the shape of the diamond. Diamonds are individually selected by us for exceptional beauty. The Round Brilliant cut is the most popular cut.
At L&J Jewellers, we are delighted to offer a customized jewellery service where we can make just about any piece of jewellery you require. It is an ideal method of giving an old piece of jewellery a new lease of life.
The first thing you should already know is a basic concept of what you would like for your custom design. Think about what you want your jewellery to look like or what characteristics it should possess in order to make it unique. After all, the purpose of having your jewellery custom made is to create something special and one-of-a-kind.
You can also make an appointment to visit us and work with a design specialist personally. Keep in mind that L&J Jewellers can make any type of jewellery that you have in mind; including custom logo jewellery, custom engagement rings, custom wedding rings, custom necklaces, family crest jewellery and many more.
